Flores Names the Squad Set to Face England A

AYLESBURY, UK – USA Women’s National Team Coach Kathy Flores announced today the starting lineup set to play England A on Wednesday, December 12.

 

The match, to be played at London Irish Amateur RFC, Sunbury, at 7 p.m. (GMT), is the second of three games on the Women’s National Team’s 2007 First Sports International England Tour.

 

“Most of the squad has little international experience, but with the help of a few veterans in key positions, we look forward to seeing some very good things from our roster changes,” Coach Flores said.

 

The USA lineup includes:

1.  Heather Jennings (Seattle), 2. Mari Wallace (Berkeley All-Blues), 3. Carrie DuBray (New York), 4. Kati McCormick (Univ. of Wisconsin-Milwaukee), 5. Jaime Lange (Olde Girls of Glendale), 6. Liz Dilley (Washington), 7. Beckett Royce (Oregon Sports Union), 8. Sara Merritt (San Diego Surfers), 9. Kim Magrini (Keystone Rugby Club), 10. Meg Crapster-Pregont (Cornell), 11. Nathalie Marchino (Berkeley All-Blues), 12. Emilie Bydwell (Brown University), 13. San Juanita Moreno (Oregon Sports Union), 14. Melissa Smit (Stanford University), 15. Ashley English (Berkeley All-Blues).

England A will be captained by veteran Karen Jones (Richmond), who has 11 caps for England since making her debut against Canada in 2004.

Following the match against England A, the USA team will wrap up its tour against the England Women’s Team on December 15, at 2:30 p.m. (GMT), also at London ARFC, Sunbury.
